About Me
Hi! I’m Heather Anne Hogan. I used to be plain Heather Hogan, but somewhere in my twenties I discovered that regular Heather means “shrub” so I picked up the Anne, which means “full of grace.” Well, technically, I’d always been in possession of the Anne. In my twenties, I began
enforcing it. I made a promise to myself as a child that I would not get married, because I didn’t want to lose my name. Superheroes are born of alliteration—Peter Parker, Clark Kent, Wonder Woman—and a desire to overcome adversity. I was born Heather Hogan with a lazy left eye. I got my first cape with I was six.
I live in northeast Georgia with my best friend, Amy; my best dog, Margaret; my best cat, Nala; and a Beagle called Scout whose mission is to destroy every toy available at Pet Smart.
Here are some things I like: books, cartoons, Jane Austen, candy, pickles, Harry Potter, airplanes, British accents, and the Oxford comma.
Here are some things I do not like: onions, crowds, balloons, bears, vampires, firecrackers, poop jokes.
I blog every week at The Collective with Abigail of
Abigail M. Schilling, Kat of
I Hate Kit Kats, and Jennie of
Long Story Short.
You can email me anytime, and I’ll try my darndest to reply. (heatherannehogan [at] gmail [dot] com.)
