LOL Caption Contest Winner

Thank you all for your suggestions for the caption contest. I specifically liked when Tim said I could fly! Amy and I chose Shannon as the winner because her suggestion made us laugh out loud on account of how true it is. Plus also, she appealed to the Harry Potter part of my heart. Here is her winning caption. (Shannon, email me about your prize!)

Yesterday I went to PetSmart for the fourth time in five days, because Scout's sole purpose in life is to wreck all of the toys in all of the world. I told the sales associate at PetSmart that I needed an indestructible toy for a Beagle. She tried to give me this flimsy rubber newspaper, and I was like, woman, my dog will destroy that with her mind before I get in the front door. I said the only solution I can think of is to let Scout chew on bricks, but she won't do it because there's no squeaker inside. After testing it with my own teeth, I ended up purchasing the Bamboo Play Combat X Battle-Tested Tug Bone, with squeaker. It's been 15 hours, and it is--amazingly--still in tact. Probably because Scout has spent most of the last 15 hours chewing on Margaret.

Oh man, the one of Margaret made me LOL.

Oliver's favorite ball is a ball with feet and a squaker. The first thing he does is chew the feet off then he gets the squaker out. That takes 10 minutes and then he carries it around daring Blue to even look at it. He will keep it for a while and then get all froggy and destroy it. For days we will find colorfull poo in the back yard.

You are now my one-stop shop for all my hydrocodone needs. You're blog is so versatile!

Well done, Shannon! I am amused.

Hey I'm a new reader--I just stopped by today by way of BlogHer. I have a beagle mix puppy and the one thing I can get him to chew on for hours at a time is a bully stick. These are (should this be whispered?) dried bull pizzles. And pizzle means exactly what you think it does. Unless you are thinking of something other than a bull penis. Anyway,if you can get over what they are, they keep my pup entertained and chewing on them for up to 12 hours. They are also all natural, way better than rawhide, low in fat, and highly digestible. They are my sanity-saver and allow me to get a few things done, rather than chasing the dog around removing various dangerous objects from his mouth.
Very funny blog--I enjoy your writing and your dog is adorable.
