Amsterdam

So, Amsterdam. Whoo boy. Nothing has been stolen from me, but I think I have lost about 60% of my virtue by being in this city. The red light distrcit is juxtaposed to the Anne Frank House. No where else in the world can you get such sobering history and also such boobs in close proximity. Also, the tram system? I will never complain about the London Underground ever again.

Are Harold and Kumar there?

sobering history and boobs: strangely, i am fascinated by this juxtaposition. it reminds me of a sandwich i ate yesterday: bologna (the working man's meat) and gouda (one of the more arrogant cheeses) together on whole white bread (also, ironic).

I remember my trip there where I heard more than one person say, "we better sober up in time for our Anne Frank tour." I think that's why our group went first thing in the morning.

you know, i've stayed in the red light districts in both brussels and copenhagen. i think amsterdam is likely to follow....

Be careful about the brownies. They're magically delicious, if you know what I mean. And I'm pretty sure you do.

I am so jealous of your Amsterdamness.

When I see you I have the most excellent and yet ridiculously stupid story about Amsterdam to tell you. I have no shame is all I'm going to say.

Have some falafel for me and some french fries dipped in delicious mayo.

The only time I was in AmDam was in the morning when all the boob shops were closed up...but I do recall how close some were to Anne Frank's and how disturbing the posts in the sidewalk were. A man's town to be sure. Though also stunningly beautiful.

I had the best time in Amsterdam. I spent a week there one day. I think...
