Accomplishments of the Unemployed: Day One.
1) Touch up Atmosphere Blue paint in new office.
2) Shower.
3) Go to bank.
4) Go to recycling center.
5) Go to comic book shop.
6) Go to grocery store.
7) Clean out refrigerator.
8) Do two loads of laundry.
9) Do dishes.
10) Get a haircut.
11) Trade out movies at Blockbuster.
12) Vacuum entire house.
13) Cut up Amy's fruits and put them in individual snack-sized bags.
14) Assemble IKEA office chair.
15) Book accommodations and transportation for Europe: England, France, Germany, Belgium, Austria, Netherlands, Italy, Switzerland.
16) Drive 40 miles to take sister out for birthday.
17) Finalize airfare for Europe.
18) Play fort with nephew.
19) Listen to John Mayer with windows down.
20) Book flight for Philly.
21) Assemble IKEA desk.
22) Type blog entry on new desk while sitting on new chair.
23) Order new office decoration from Etsy. (Recommended by Abigail.)
Not having a job is hard work: I am pooped! Tomorrow I have to figure out how to use a stud finder so I can hang some shelves. For now, off to bed with me, where The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane awaits. You guys remember that time I quit my job and everyone was so nice to me? Yeah, that was pretty awesome.
