National Pancake Day

Heather Anne: Do you know when to use "people" and when to use "persons."

Sister: No, but I do know today is National Pancake Day.

Heather Anne: Wait, what.

Sister: iHop is giving away free pancakes.

Heather Anne: How do I get them!

Sister: Go to iHop and tell them Free! Give them to me!

Heather Anne: Okay, bye!

Apparently today is National Pancake Day and iHop is giving away FREE PANCAKES. You can get all the information at iHop's website. I am going there for lunch. Right this very minute.

Also, Kat knew the answer about persons vs. people: "Persons for a group of individuals. People for a collective body, e.g. the American people." That Kat knows all the things. I love her.

also e.g. us. you're my people.

I could go for some pancakes right now.

mmmm...with chocolate chips inside of them and syrup and fruit...I love pancakes!

Someone told me a story on Saturday night about how at Waffle House they're forbidden to serve pancakes. This guy went to waho and said, "I want pancakes--just put the waffle mix on the regular grill, please?" They made this huge deal about how they're "not supposed to do that."

Oh, maaaaaan......Now I have to go there for dinner and eat pancakes until I explode. It's gonna huuuuuuurt! Stop hurting meeeee!!

I don't know grammar the way I should, but I do love pancakes...

Did they warm the syrup for you?

Do they serve the pancakes with chutney?

Ok less english talk and more pancake talk. What kind did you get? Were there chocolate chips involved?

I thought about taking Chris there for his birthday yesterday. But ultimately we decided on Thai. It was a difficult choice, though. Pancakes or Pad Thai? We wavered.
