Little-Leaguer: Coach Heather, do you think I can make this shot from way back here at the three-point line?

Coach Heather: Kid, I'll bet you five bucks you can't make that shot.

Coach Amy: Heather! Don't do that!

Coach Heather: What, teach the kids to gamble?

Coach Amy: Well, yeah, but mostly I was thinking that is terrible shot selection for an eleven-year-old.

Way to build up your player's self esteem, coach!

Right before this, she called me an old woman!

My sister keeps making fun of me because I'm "almost 30." Because I'm almost 26, which is almost 30 apparently.

---

I would NEVER make fun of a person from Ohio.

Little Leaguer: *makes shot, nabs 5 bucks from Coach Heather's hand* "Thanks!"

---

Good thing she didn't really make the shot. I only had a dollar.

Good thing, I'd hate to have to kick you in the nut.

(I'd never do that . . . not to you, anyway)

So,did she make the shot or not?

Be careful with those wagers.

When I was twelve. My coach bet me ten dollars I couldn't make a hook shot from the corner of the court.

I sunk five in a row before he made me run laps and told me never to try that shot in a game.

Of course I did try it in the next game. I missed it by a mile. He benched me. I had to run extra laps for week.

It was worth it.

Heh! Well, if you will come out and coach my daughter, I promise you can teach her and her teammates to gamble. It would be SO worth it!
