Only problem is, I can't remember what I've forgotten.
I bought some president flash cards over the weekend, and have been resolutely working through them. I talk a lot of smack about Trivial Pursuit, and it feels like time to bone up.
In the bookstore trip that yielded the flash cards, I also bought the first Gossip Girl book. I read it in one sitting, and called my sister to say so, and she called back to tell me my Scottish accent is getting really good.
The new American Gladiators is just as awesome as the old American Gladiators, and I found myself texting like mad and shouting at the television during the premiere. Which: standard.
Tomorrow is the New Hampshire primary, and I am nervous as can be for Hillary Clinton. I’ll support Barack Obama if he wins the nomination, of course I will. But deep down, I’m a Hillary fan. (One of seven in my state, I’m sure.)
There is a fun blog project on the way.
Yesterday I had a conversation with Amy that went like this:
“He’s an asshole, and I never want to speak to him again.”
“So don’t speak to him. Write about him.”
“Why?”
“Because then he’ll be an asshole who’s paying money for your book.”
I don’t like assholes, but if they’re giving me money, I’ll tolerate them.
I miss The Office.

Will you guys still be my friends if I don't watch Gladiators? Because I'd sort of rather poke out both of my eyes with a rusty spoon.

I mean, yeah, but if you ever have to scale an eight foot wall and then plummet into a pool and swim under a pillar of fire and ascend a cargo net and roll down a barrel and climb a pyramid and run up a treadmill and bust through a wall, and you don't make it, don't blame me and Kat.

Not lookin' good for Hillary ... She was stumpin' at our local bagel shop on Saturday. Unfortunately we had a swim meet to get to, so couldn't stick around.
I'm leanin' to Bill Richardson meself, but he seems pretty much unelectable, so may have to swallow my natural distrust of glib, salesy types and go for Edwards (what can I say, he was closest to my beliefs in a candidate quiz - plus he seems like the best bet after the unelectable Richardson/Kucinich to get out of Iraq soonest. Hillary seems to be the sharpest though - and she doesn't grate on my nerves.
Anyway - I'm with you ... Hoping for any substantial change from the current course. I only hope that an Obama victory isn't ultimately a step on the way to McCain in the WH.
Happy Monday(s)

Good analysis, Geo. Your family sure does go to a lot of swim meets!

The pillar of fire was awesome! It appealed to the pyro in me.

How about when that woman slammed her head into the fire cage and was all bloody? Poor lamb. That fire is dangerous.

I miss The Office too. I wonder about the Andy/Angela/Dwight triangle and of course, what is going to happen with Jan and Michael now that the whole deposition thing (is that what it's called?) has happened. Oh, and I want to see Jim and Pam kiss again.

Jenn, did you know that real life Angela is pregnant?! I wonder, if they go back on air this season, what they'll do with that.

Heather, I can't believe you didn't like Jeff who had waited FOURTEEN years to be on gladiators. Pleeeeeze.

He was such a whiner!

Heather, Kunkle wants to know what your gladiator name is?
---
Rhythm.

Barack Obama will be the first African American to serve as our President.
Also, my 4 year old nephew has been able to name all of the Presidents in order for over a year now (I'd be lucky to name half of them).

You can borrow my flash cards.

“Because then he’ll be an asshole who’s paying money for your book.”
Could you please elaborate on the "your book" part? When, oh when, will you have a book that I, too, can pay money to read?

I was like that about Bill Richardson at the caucus last week. He wasn't viable, so I gave my vote to Obama and didn't feel one bit bad about it.
