the first wayward lady dragon arrives

Today when I got home from work, I had a package. I thought maybe it was some books I ordered from Amazon, but no. It was a wayward dragon!

Dragons like the fresh air, so I took it outside. I gave it some specs to keep the sun out of its eyes.

I gave it some shoes to keep it from getting burrs in its toes.

I tossed it up in the air, and jostled it around a bit.

Then it threw up on me!

So I took a closer look.

That's when I realized it wasn't a dragon at all. Why, it was a baby. A baby that looks remarkably like my sister. So I sat it down and took its picture with Margaret. I call this one Cousins of a Sort.

I am expecting my first real dragon any day now.

tooooo cute.

He does look so much like Jennifer!

Margaret looks like she is about .5 seconds away from pouncing on the lady with the camera.

Surely the "fragile" warning would have given it away? Wayward they might be, but I'm doubting that many Lady Dragons would be at all happy with being labelled fragile :)

I admit, sometimes I too have a hard time telling the difference between Wayward Lady Dragons and babies. But I'll give you a hint: Baby fat (deposited around the neck and arms and legs) is what I look for to tell the difference.

It was good of the packers of said baby to supply bubblewrap for entertainment/protection.

Silly! Lady Dragons don't wear diapers. Plus, that baby doesn't have a proper tail. Still, I like the pictures. A lot.

Yeah, "Fragile" on the package was a tip-off. And when the shoes didn't fit so good I was already pretty sure this wasn't the lady dragon. Cute though.

That last photo just made me collapse with the cuteness. Awwww, the cuteness.

I like the sweet-potato stained nose.

Margaret's hind foot looks really, really tiny.

I love that last shot!

Dragon keeper, I tried to find those Rocket Dog shoes online because I would like some and they don't have my size. I'm sad.

Please help.
