2 minutes that I will never get back. Or, why you shouldn't answer your cell phone if you don't recognize the number.

“Hullo?”

“Who’s this?”

“The person whose cell phone you just called. Who’s this?”

“This is supposed to be the hospital.”

“Oh – well it’s not.”

“It’s supposed to be.”

“Yeah? Sorry about that.”

“Can you connect me with the hospital?”

“Not so much.”

"Do you have the phone number for the hospital?"

"Umm... no."

"Is this really not the hospital?"

"Yeah, it is. I'm just messing with you. This is what I do to make sure the call is an actual hospital-certified emergency. You don't seem very panicked though."

"Oh I was looking for Patient Services. Is this the Emergency Room?"

"Yes."

You're making that up. Are you making that up? You're making that up.

Good NESS. How stupid can some people be?

(I'm really sorry. I thought I was calling the hospital...)

Heather Anne, WHY are you moderating my comments? Is it my breath?

Ha, ha, ha!!!!

That totally cracked me up!!!

What's odd is that I had some massage therapist in Washington (state) call me this morning about my appointment... Thankfully, I didn't hear the phone. Her English was VERY bad.

Why do I feel like every conversation I have at work feels EXACTLY like this?
